The World Bank said its executive board on Monday approved a package of $723 million in loans and grants for Ukraine to support the government’s budget as the country grapples with Russia’s offensive.
The bank added in a statement, that the package includes 350 million dollars to complement a previous loan provided by the World Bank, in addition to about 139 million dollars through guarantees from the Netherlands and Sweden.
The package also includes $134 million in grants from Britain, Denmark, Latvia, Lithuania and Iceland, as well as $100 million in parallel funding from Japan.
