The Organizing Committee announced the completion of preparations for the fourth leg of the Middle East Crown Boxing Championship, which will be held on Saturday at Al Maktoum Hall in the Dubai World Trade Center, with the participation of a group of boxers of both sexes from 12 nationalities, namely: India, the Philippines, Uzbekistan, Pakistan and Syria Colombia, Ukraine, Egypt, Nigeria, Afghanistan, Russia, Luxembourg.
This came in the press conference, during which the event program organized by “DJMC” and held in cooperation with the Dubai Sports Council and the Boxing Federation was revealed. «22 years», which paves the way for them towards professionalism in the future.
The night will be full of strong and expected fights, and the main confrontations will be between the Filipino Jason Faison and India’s Nutaly Lalbiyakima for the light weight title, and upcoming challenges, most notably between Uzbek Alizimhan Tursunov and India’s Ladinglana in featherweight 57 kg, and the Syrian Mohamed Melis with Colombian Fabio Alfonso in heavyweight over 91 kg, and the Egyptian Fahd Ashour with the Ukrainian Danilo Honcharuk in the featherweight weight of 59 kg, the Nigerian Akinola Olafimi with the Afghani Idris Lian in the featherweight 63 kg, and the Indian Sajn Rohela with the Pakistani Muzaffar Khan in the above average weight, along with a number of other fights.
Dostan Rosero, Chairman of the Supreme Organizing Committee of the tournament, stressed that the main objective of organizing it is to contribute to the promotion of the game, especially that the Arab region has become full of talent, which is a great opportunity to discover more talents and interact with many world stars.
He explained that the tournament will be held 3 times annually, provided that a combined tournament will be held for all participants upon reaching the tenth edition of it.
The Egyptian boxer Fahd Ashour said: “It is the first time that I have participated in the tournament, and I have a record of winning 4 matches, including winning by knockout twice, which allowed me to participate in the tournament and practice boxing in the professional category and is registered in Egypt in the Professional Boxers Association, and I aspire to To beat the champion of Ukraine.” For his part, Moroccan boxer Hamza Al-Rajbi expressed his happiness to be in Dubai and participate in the current edition of the tournament, stressing that he knows very well that the competition will not be easy for the participating champions from different countries of the world. Morocco twice and the Arab Championship once, he came to Dubai because he knows that it is the source of champions in various sports and the elite from all countries of the world always flock to it.
