Positive evaluation rate fell 3 pp compared to July, when the president had his best performance
Genial/Quaest research released this Wednesday (2.Oct.2024) shows that the president Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT) is approved by 51% of Brazilians and disapproved by 45%. In the previous survey, in July, the president’s approval reached 54%, the highest rate in 2024. Disapproval was 43%.
The survey interviewed 2,000 people from September 25 to 29, 2024 aged 16 and over. The margin of error is 2 percentage points, plus or minus. The confidence interval is 95%. Read the complete of the survey (PDF – 11 MB).
Quaest also asked interviewees about how they evaluate the 3rd Lula government in general. In total, 32% say they evaluate positively, while 33% evaluate regularly and 31% negatively. Another 4% do not know or did not respond.
The result represents a drop of 4 percentage points in the positive evaluation. It was 36% in July. The regular and negative evaluation increased, respectively, 3 points and 1 pp
