The subscription-based cloud gaming service Antstream Arcadededicated entirely to the world of retrogaming, is about to be enriched with new titles. According to Mike Rouse, the company’s CEO, About 50 games from the PS1 catalog are coming soonand the first of those could arrive Gamecube and PlayStation 2consoles not currently represented in the service. Note that among the 1300 titles in the Antstream Arcade catalog, there are already PS1 games.
The news comes from a statement made by Rouse, who also runs the YouTube channel Retro Gamer Boyto the magazine GameRant, to which he said: “We already have the license for a lot of games for PlayStation. So we are just evaluating Which games to launch and in which week to do it. We’re also trying to balance the launches between the different platforms, the games that are already there and the requests that people have. So if people are asking for more PlayStation games, we’ll try to add more PlayStation games. We’ve already licensed 50 PlayStation games and more are coming.”
According to GameRant, Antstream is reportedly looking to add newer systems to the service, specifically the PlayStation 2 and GameCube. No games have been announced for these two systems so far, but who knows in the future, given the level of emulation they’ve achieved for both.
For the rest we remind you that Antstream Arcade is available on Xbox, PlayStation, Epic Games Store, iPhone, iPad, Android, Samsung TV, PC, Mac and Linux. Recently Rouse explained why he thinks retrogaming is so popular, so much so that some people live comfortably playing only games from the past.
