Within the framework of the celebrations of the fiftieth year, the Golden Jubilee Celebration Committee announced the start of the countdown to the celebrations of the fiftieth National Day of the United Arab Emirates on the second of December 2021, inviting everyone who considers the UAE their homeland to participate in the celebrations. For the first time in the history of the UAE, the National Day celebrations begin fifty days before the expected date on the second of December, with the launch of an initiative bearing the slogan “Fifty Days for Fifty”.
The initiative invited everyone to participate in the celebrations through a series of events and activities that will be published on a daily basis on the social media platforms of the UAE National Day @OfficialUAEND. The celebration methods include many activities, including visiting tourist areas and destinations, discovering new places throughout the country, performing the national anthem of the United Arab Emirates, sharing pictures of different sites in the country that represent a special memory for them, in addition to participating in the celebrations that precede the National Day with their friends and families. . The initiative also invited everyone to celebrate and share their experiences by using the hashtag #FiftiethCelebrations.
Commenting on the “Fifty Days for Fifty Days” initiative, Sheikha Al Ketbi, Director of Creative Strategy for the fiftieth year, said: “We are proud to celebrate the achievements of the UAE over the past fifty years, and note and praise them as the culmination of an exceptional year.”
She added that the UAE is home to more than 200 nationalities, and we invite everyone to celebrate and learn more about the traditions and customs that make our society, and to participate in our daily activities in the period leading up to the official celebration of the fiftieth National Day. The Golden Jubilee Celebration Committee invited all government agencies, companies, schools and institutions to participate in their own events over the next 50 days.
It is noteworthy that the official celebration of the National Day of the State will be held on the second of next December, and more details will be announced in this regard soon. His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, may God protect him, announced the designation of the year 2021 as “the year of the fiftieth”, in celebration of the 50th anniversary of the founding of the state in 1971.
Since April 2021, everyone who considers the UAE their home has been invited to celebrate his accomplishments, honor the “first dreamers” in their families, and write “messages to the future” about the progress they would like to see in the next fifty years.
