Yesterday, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights announced the killing of 4 members of the terrorist “Hezbollah” militia, as a result of Israeli shelling targeting sites in the Qara area in Damascus countryside, near the Syrian border with Lebanon.
The observatory documented the killing of 4 members of the Lebanese “Hezbollah” militia of Syrian and Lebanese nationalities, and the injury of others, some of them seriously, as a result of the initial outcome of the Israeli strikes.
The Syrian Observatory had monitored, at midnight on Thursday, Friday, targeting by Israeli missiles of weapons depots and military sites for “Hezbollah” in the Qara area of Damascus countryside overlapping with the southwestern countryside of Homs.
Hezbollah is active in that area, in addition to using it to smuggle fuel from Lebanon to Syria, while the air defenses in Qasioun, Jabal Al-Manea, and the 91st Brigade attempted to counter the Israeli strikes. The Syrian news agency “SANA” said that the air defenses confronted hostile targets in the sky of Damascus and broadcast video footage. Over the past years, Israel has launched dozens of raids in Syria, targeting Syrian army sites, Iranian and Hezbollah targets.
