“1254 deaths were recorded. In a day, 36,172 people have fully recovered in Russia, ”the message says.
It is specified that the largest number of new cases was detected in Moscow (3239), St. Petersburg (2637) and the Moscow region (1885).
Since the beginning of the spread of coronavirus in the Russian Federation, 9,294,188 cases of the disease have been identified. At the same time, 262,843 patients died from the consequences of COVID-19, 7,992,426 people recovered.
Earlier that day, the virologist of the Gamaleya Center, Alexander Butenko, said that the wave of COVID-19 incidence began to decline in Russia. The specialist noted that it is impossible to name the exact date of the end of the wave, but if the recent trend towards a decrease in the number of cases continues for a week or two, then we can talk about an improvement in the situation.
A day earlier, the level of collective immunity to COVID-19 in Russia reached 50.2%, according to the operational headquarters for combating coronavirus infection.
On November 10, Russian Deputy Prime Minister Tatyana Golikova called on all Russians to get vaccinated against COVID-19. In order for the Russian Federation to reach the level of 80% in terms of the number of vaccinated citizens, all Russians who do not have a medical exemption from vaccination must simply be vaccinated, she said.
On the same day, the director of the Center. N.F. Gamalei Alexander Gunzburg expressed the opinion that the vaccine against COVID-19 should be included in the national vaccination schedule. And the vaccination itself, according to the scientist, must be made mandatory.
On November 9, infectious disease doctor Yevgeny Timakov called the Sputnik V vaccine the most effective drug for revaccination. He noted that revaccination with any registered Russian drug for COVID-19 will not have any side effects, the two platforms can complement each other.
Earlier, on November 8, Gunzburg said in an interview with Izvestia that at the moment 65 million doses of the Sputnik V vaccine have been produced in the Russian Federation, of which 55 million or 56 million doses were used in the vaccination of Russians. He added that about the same amount of “Sputnik V” has been delivered to about 10 countries.
