Greek authorities reported that 35 migrants, including women and children, were rescued from the sea, south of the island of Crete. The Greek newspaper Kathimerini reported on Saturday that the migrants are currently being transported to the Greek region of Kaloi Limenis.
Upon their arrival in the Kaloi Limenis area, they are expected to be transferred to a temporary shelter.
Another group, which included 75 migrants, who intended to head to Europe from North Africa, was rescued in a disabled boat in the south of the island of Crete, according to what the Greek authorities said yesterday, Friday.
