The Athletics Federation launches its new season 2021-2022 with the Individual Country Cross Country Championships hosted by Al Warqa Park in Dubai, with the participation of 258 male and female players representing 18 clubs: Shabab Al Ahly, Al Nasr, Al Ain, Dibba Al Hisn, Fujairah, Sharjah, Hatta, Al Hamriya, Falaj Al Mualla, UAE, Khor Fakkan, Al Rams, Masafi, Al Jazeera Al Hamra, Al Bataeh, Maliha, Kalba Union, and Sharjah Women’s Sports.
The competitions will start at 2:30 tomorrow afternoon with the girls’ cubs category race for a distance of 2 km, then the cubs category for boys will be held at the same time for the 2 km competition, then the women’s category for a distance of 2 km, the juniors category for 4 km at three in the afternoon and the young women category for a distance of 3 km at 3:30 In the afternoon, the women’s category for a distance of 3 km at the same time, followed by the youth category for a distance of 6 km at four in the afternoon, and finally the men’s category for a distance of 8 km at four thirty in the afternoon.
Major General Dr. Muhammad Abdullah Al-Murr, President of the Athletics Federation, congratulated all clubs on the occasion of the inauguration and launch of the new sports season for the “mother of games” and said: The federation is making great efforts to develop the game and work on all the data that enhance its launch strength and raise the results to an honorable level that expresses aspirations In the coming seasons, to achieve the desired aspirations of raising the country’s name on the podiums at all levels, with great confidence in the existing talents and capabilities, which the Federation’s Board of Directors is working to develop and create the best conditions for qualification and preparation to be able to show a strong reaction in regional, continental and international competitions.
