In Russia, over the past day, 21,127 new cases of coronavirus infection were detected. This was announced on Sunday, January 24, by the operational headquarters for control and monitoring of the spread of infection in its Telegram-channel.
According to the headquarters, new infected were found in 85 regions of the country. Most of all new cases were recorded in Moscow, St. Petersburg and the Moscow region.
Earlier in January, Alexander Gorelov, deputy director for scientific work of the Central Research Institute of Epidemiology of Rospotrebnadzor, said that today less than 3 percent of Russians have had coronavirus.
