No Chevrolet Corvette without a Z06 variant. Now it is the turn of the C8 generation of the American sports car, which is available as a Coupé and as a Roadster. At the center of the rear is the brand new LT6 flat-crankshaft engine, a naturally aspirated V8 with a displacement of 5.5 liters, an output of 680 hp and a maximum torque of 625 Nm.
A surprisingly high-revving block, because the V8 of the Corvette Z06 only hits the limiter at 8,600 rpm. You get the screaming soundtrack for free. The development of that LT6 engine was largely in racing, as the V8 was also used by the C8.R that Chevrolet took part in the 2021 24 Hours of Le Mans and won the 2020 IMSA Manufacturers’ Championship (with six victories).
gives you wings
The Chevrolet Corvette Z06 can be recognized by its aerodynamically optimized body kit inspired by the C8-R race car. The splitter under the nose and the wing on the butt generate 166 kilograms of downforce at 300 km/h. The standard-fitted spoilers can be replaced with larger ones from the Carbon package, a set-up that adds front winglets, a channeled floor and a mid-mount rear wing. All made of carbon fiber, of course.
The widened wheel arches are filled by 20-inch front and 21-incher (275/30 and 345/25 respectively), the rims are Pilot Sport tires from Michelin, but the optional Z07 package comes with so-called Cup rubber . The C8 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray Z06 is available as a Coupé and as a Convertible.
