A 42-year-old man died this Saturday after being run over on Route 12, near the Entre Rios town of El Palenque, located 40 kilometers from Paraná.
It all happened around 8 o’clock on the Aromito stream bridge. Minutes before being hit by a car, the man – identified as José María Hillairet – had clueless with his Renault Fluence.
The car crossed Route 12, crossed the creek and ended several meters from the road.
Spokesmen for the case informed Diary One that Hillairet managed to get out of the car and walked back to the route to ask for help. Upon reaching the bridge, he was run over by a Ford Ka that was driving towards Paraná.

That car was driven by a 23-year-old girl who, the investigators presume, did not observe the man due to the heavy rain that was registered at that time in the area.
That storm would also have prevented the man from realizing that he was on the route and not on the shoulder. Investigators do not rule out that Hillairet was stunned by the crash he had starred in minutes earlier.
The victim had been a member of the El Palenque Community Council. From the Facebook page of the town they fired him with an emotional message.
