Pedro Sanchez has announced a new decree with the second package of measures approved by the Government to help those affected by DANA in the Valencian Community and other areas of the country. The new decree, which will mean a investment of 3,765 million eurosis made up of two packages, one of them intended for the protection of the “social shield” and another intended for the protection of the “productive fabric” of the affected areas.
These measures fall into the so-called “labor shield”, that will have retroactive effect from October 29 and will allow, together with the “social shield”, companies located in the DANA area or directly affected by the storm to benefit from different measures. The Executive estimates that this measure will benefit 400,000 workers from 100,000 homes and will allow 30,000 companies resume your activity as soon as possible.
All the Government measures to repair the productive fabric affected by DANA
- A has been established direct aid line of 200 million euros for agricultural holdings that have suffered damage that prevents them from carrying out the next campaign normally or that have losses in their productive potential greater than 40%.
- A has already been approved first tranche of ICO credits announced in the first line of aid, specifying a line of guarantees that will cover 80% of the total loanso that households, companies and the self-employed can access the amount of aid, subsidies and compensation as soon as possible and also undertake the investments they need.
- A has been opened additional line of ICO creditsof 60 million euros, for alleviate the losses of farmers and ranchers.
- Approved a program to repair agricultural infrastructure such as roads, terraces and irrigation systems of 175 million euros, which will be executed by the public company TRAGSA.
- An aid line of 2 million euros is established for the cultural entities (cinemas, bookstores, theaters…) that have closed their doors due to the flood.
In addition, the Government will launch a plan to 45 million euros to work on the restoration of river basins of the Valencia area damaged by the flood, as well as in the recovery of the Albufera. The concession and deadlines will be made more flexible of aid execution to guarantee quick and effective access to it.
