She indicated that the total number of lawyers registered to plead in the supreme courts reached 861 lawyers, while the number of lawyers at the primary and appellate levels reached 755 lawyers.
According to statistics, the total number of registered experts reached 414, including 158 citizen experts, constituting 38.2% of the total, and 256 residents, constituting 61.8%, while the total number of translators (citizens and residents) reached 410 translators.
According to the guidelines for practicing the legal profession, no person may practice the legal profession in the country unless his name is registered in the register of practicing lawyers, prepared for this purpose in the Ministry of Justice. The relevant emirate may also require, for a lawyer to practice his profession in, the presence of a licensed office in the emirate. .
The guide stated that five conditions must be met for anyone wishing to practice the legal profession, which are: that the applicant for registration in the register of lawyers be a citizen of the state, that he must not be less than 21 years of age, and that he must be fully qualified and of good reputation and not judicially convicted of a criminal penalty or a misdemeanor involving dishonor. Or dishonesty, or he was disciplinaryly sentenced for one of these crimes, and he must have a degree in law or Sharia and law from one of the universities or higher institutes recognized in the country or its equivalent, and he must have passed a period of theoretical and practical training.

The Ministry of Justice provides a special system for lawyers called the Smart Lawyer System, which is an application available on all browsers and smart devices, and provides a package of electronic services for lawyers and community members, so that it saves time and effort for lawyers by submitting requests electronically and following them up through the system, which is a platform. Effective communication between the lawyer and the Ministry, and helps facilitate the procedures for implementing the service by the relevant team in the Ministry.
