Al-Marri noted that widows and divorced women have priority in the Foundation’s services, and the larger the number, the priority, as housing will be distributed to them, and that the Foundation is in the process of receiving 400 apartments ready for housing in the “Muhaisnah” project, where the project includes about 20 different buildings, and it will be handed over The project is in phases and distributed to the beneficiaries, stressing that the corporation is in the process of handing over the apartments very soon.
With regard to increasing the value of the housing loan for citizens to one million dirhams without interest, Al-Marri confirmed: “Coordination is currently taking place with banks regarding this matter, and the actual implementation process will start early next year,” noting that the institution serves nearly a thousand customers annually. And that 90% of the applications are approved very quickly, but the implementation process takes time in terms of choosing designs, implementing companies and others, in addition to that some citizens are waiting for new opportunities to allocate different spaces in other places, which may cause waiting lists.
