San Luis Potosí.- Minutes before 04:00 on Tuesday, the National Migration Institute (INM) of the Ministry of the Interior identified 133 people foreign migrants who were traveling in an overcrowded condition in the refrigerated box of a truck located on state highway 75D, in the Río Verde-San Luis Potosí section, in that entity.
With the support of the Secretary of National Defense (Sedena) and the state police managed to locate and arrest the unit in which the transfer of migrants of different nationalities, who could not prove their regular stay in national territory, was intended.
They are 35 women and 73 adult men, as well as 15 unaccompanied minors and four people in a family nucleus, all from Guatemala.

Likewise, four more also in the family nucleus, from Nicaragua, and two members of a family from Honduras.
Adhering to and safeguarding their rights, the persons of legal age were taken to the INM offices to begin the migration process that defines their legal status in Mexico; meanwhile, foreign family nuclei remained under the tutelage of the System for the Integral Development of the Family (DIF) in the entity.
The INM endorses its commitment to safe, orderly and regular migration, in accordance with human rights and without undermining their political, economic or social status.
