1. “I was on my way home on my motorcycle at night. I really didn’t see anyone on the streets.”
“I was standing at the traffic light, it turned green and all of a sudden I just heard “Stop, don’t drive” I looked around in surprise, I didn’t see anyone and suddenly a car came thundering through the intersection that I wasn’t expecting. That mysterious voice saved my life that day.”

2. “There is a mountain behind my house and a lot of forest. One day I was hiking up the paved road for the view and met a young woman walking towards me.”
“She was about 20-25, very pretty face, BUT she was wearing a pink down jacket and had the hood on. It was 25-28 degrees. She also wore black, tight jeans (or denim look) and dark boots. We looked at each other as she walked past, straight in the face, slight smile from her, I returned it. The thick jacket surprised me for maybe a minute at most, wanted to make sure and turned around. She was gone. I specifically went to the edge of the path so I could look further down, nothing.”

3. “One night I was lying on my back in bed and it felt as if my legs were sinking down through the bed, knees down, until they were bent at 90 degrees, as if they were going through solid matter (I was completely sober) .”

4. “Next to our house there was farmland and about 100m away there was a place where firewood was hoarded and also chopped. For several months, someone could be heard chopping wood almost every night. I was able to show it to several friends and my parents didn’t have any real explanations either.”

5. “When I met my girlfriend, her father had died a few months ago. She is an artist and painted a painting of the African desert and a sunflower…all things that she strongly associates with him.”
“When she finished painting the picture, she put it on the windowsill and we eventually went to bed. In the night we are woken up by a loud clatter…we get up and look, the picture is on the floor. The next day we stand in the kitchen and talk about how we felt the moment we found the picture. Then the light started to flicker briefly and stopped. She says: Dad? It’s flickering again.”

6. “When I was at school, I dreamed that I was at school. However, a completely different classroom and different people I didn’t know.”
Also a strange arrangement of the tables. I’m sitting at the back on the left, a blonde girl is sitting in front of me, I can see a flower bed through the window. I thought it was strange to dream about a foreign school. Six months later I’m sitting in exactly the same classroom at a new school in exactly the same situation.
Another time, in the middle of a conversation with someone, I realized that I had already dreamed this exact conversation and I was able to remember what I would say next and what their answer would be. Then I decided to say something different. That was weird too.”

7. “My second experience was in no first apartment after my neighbor above me died. Doors suddenly slammed shut with full force without a window being open anywhere. My candle jars literally exploded on a regular basis, even though they were thick, handmade jars and had held the candles in them for years.”
“My Christmas tree fell with such force that the balls practically exploded and I was only able to save a couple. When my dog was in the apartment, she would constantly see something on the ceiling and in the hallway, it was all pretty strange. When I was touched in my sleep, my patience ran out and I decorated the apartment with white sage and from then on there was peace. Since I moved into my house, I’ve never experienced anything like that again.”

8. “It was winter 2016. Shortly before midnight. I was at a Christmas party with two colleagues and in a hurry to catch the last train to our city. After we promised the taxi driver a hefty tip if he got us to the train station on time, he actually deserved it. We still had time to buy a beer for the train ride.”
“We split up: one got the train tickets, the remaining two went to buy the beer. I was one of the two beer representatives. So we were standing in line when we noticed a generally well-groomed, but somehow run-down and dirty-looking man. He was stylishly dressed, wearing nice leather shoes, suit trousers, a shirt and jacket. He wasn’t wearing a coat or a winter jacket. He came up to us and asked us if we would buy him a beer.
At first we were a bit surprised because he didn’t really seem like he needed financial help. We ended up chatting briefly as we waited for our beer. He told us that his wife threw him out and he has been homeless for several months now. Even though he had founded one of the largest magazines in the city we were in, he now found himself stunned in this situation. We now had our beer firmly in hand and headed to the train. During the hour-long drive, the three of us talked about him again as I began to research whether he could really have founded this magazine. There was a Wikipedia page for a name, which I clicked on. I immediately saw the photo and recognized the man from the train station. Those eyes in combination with the glasses – that must be him. According to Wikipedia, he died a year before this incident.”

9. “My grandma died suddenly of a heart attack. 6 months later on my grandfather’s birthday we were at his place with our dogs and the dogs didn’t dare go into the room where she had died. The dogs moved further and further away from the room down the hall and slowly walked backwards down the hall.”
When I arrived at my grandpa’s kitchen, one of the dogs started making noises, even though no one was standing near him. Whenever we talk about them, our dogs go crazy. I wanted to call my brother because he lost his cell phone under the car seat. On 2 calls, both times it sounded like someone had answered and was trying to whisper messages through constant static. And finally, my mother went to rehab for 5 weeks last year. My siblings woke up in the middle of the night because someone seemed to be banging on the door with their fists. They all stood together in front of the door and saw something pounding on it. When she got back it stopped.”
10. “My mother once woke me up at around 2 a.m. and said, “Come on, we have to go, your grandma has died.” Then I immediately jumped up, quickly got dressed and went out into the hallway. Nobody was awake, not my father, my big sister and not my mother.”
Then I realized that I didn’t even see my mom when she woke me up. From that point on I didn’t know for the life of me what to do because I didn’t know if I had just dreamed it or not. I didn’t know whether I should wake my parents or not. My grandmother, who according to my mother was supposed to be dead, still lived a few kilometers away at the time. The thing was I was so convinced that I heard my mother’s voice saying “Come on, we have to go, your grandma has died”. It felt so real that I woke up my parents. My mother said she never woke me up and she never said Grandma was dead. Still, somehow I couldn’t sleep peacefully and didn’t fall asleep until just before 4 a.m. or so.
End of story. My grandma died of a heart attack overnight. We found out the next day.”

11. “When I was younger I lived in a really village setting and public transport was rare. One day I was on the way home and unfortunately I injured myself very, very painfully in an inconvenient place but still had to walk a total of 4km to get to my grandma’s house.”
During the last kilometer I was slowly losing my strength to tolerate pain and at that moment a butterfly sat on my hand and made no move to disappear any time soon. I was stunned and the pain was gone. Just leave.”

12. “I had a completely nonsense dream and a work colleague of mine appeared in this dream. I told him about it a few days later, his eyes widened and he finished the story. He just dreamed the same thing, just from his perspective.”

13. “Three times I have dreamed things that happened more or less like this. The scariest thing was when I dreamed one night that I was watching a ship sink from a bird’s eye view. It was dark, cold and I felt the cold rain on my skin.”
People were screaming and I could only watch helplessly from above. It was a nightmare and it felt real. The day after, Estonia’s misfortune was widely reported in the media. I was still a child back then and there was no internet yet. I think I’ve seen every documentary that’s ever been made about it because it kept bothering me for many years and I was looking for a connection. But I didn’t find any.”
