10-year-old girl was abused by an evangelical pastor, her grandmother discovered it

A 59-year-old evangelical pastor, whose identity was not specified, was detained by Venezuelan authorities in the state of Carabobo, in the north of the country, after allegedly having committed sexual abuse against a 10-year-old girl, as announced by the Public Ministry of Venezuela.

According to the investigation, last December, the victim’s grandmother found her granddaughter being abused inside the defendant’s residence, whom she later denounced before the Scientific, Criminal and Criminal Investigation Corps (Cicpc), indicated the Ministry in a press release.

After the complaint, the minor revealed to her grandmother that the abuse “would have started since she was seven years old and that the pastor had asked her not to tell anything”. To buy his silence, the subject offered him “sweets and various gifts,” according to the Prosecutor’s Office of that country.

The man was charged with the crime of “aggravated and continuous sexual abuse without penetration.” No details are known about the state of the minor, who would have suffered abuse for about three years by the pastor of the church.
